SUGGESTED ITINERARIES TO CHOOSE FROM

* I am able to accomodate other itineraries as well; just ask!
* Inquire about pricing, or contact me for general questions, at asankavp@yahoo.com, or via my mobile at +94 77 1632 496.
* Itineraries listed below can be customized depending on your preferred length-of-stay and interests in Sri Lanka

ITINERARY #1: HISTORY AND CULTURE OF SRI LANKA

* Description: Sri Lanka has a rich two-thousand year history, described today in the form of relics, temples, and ancient ruins.  Formerly known as Ceylon, Sri Lanka had a variety of influences including British, Dutch, and Portuguese presences.  Tap into your inner history and archeology buff and climb through temples and ruins just as the ancients did, and literally walk through the history of Sri Lanka.

* Places to visit: Dambulla Cave Shrines, Sigiriya Lion's Rock, Anuradahapura (the first capital of Sri Lanka and an ancient city), Polonnaruwa (the second capital of Sri Lanka and also an ancient city), Kandy (home of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the most important relic in Sri Lanka), Tissamaharama (1,700 years of history in this city)

ITINERARY #2: RELAX SRI LANKA

Option A: Sri Lankan Beaches and Coasts
* Description: Looking for some time to relax on the beach?  Sri Lanka has some of the world's best, unspoiled beaches.  Whatever you enjoy - surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, whale-watching, sunbathing, looking for seashells, or generally just getting tan - Sri Lanka has beaches on two coasts that will impress.

* Places to visit: beaches and waves of Mirissa, Negombo, Galle, Bentota, Trincomalee, Unawatuna, Hikkaduwa, Arugam Bay, Tangalla

Option B: Sri Lankan Hill Country
* Description: A cooler-weather way to relax, in Sri Lanka's hill country.  It offers leisurely strolls through tea and coffee plantations, scenic views, stargazing, lazy afternoons amongst rolling green hills, a tea and coffee sipper's delight!

* Places to visit: Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella

ITINERARY #3: SRI LANKAN WILDLIFE

* Description: If you are a wildlife-lover, then look no further than Sri Lanka!  This island country has some of the world's most diverse flora and fauna, and the biodiversity is unparalleled anywhere else.  If going on a safari is your cup of tea, then there are ample opportunities to interact with the Sri Lankan local wildlife, up close!  Think elephants, leopards, crocodiles, wild boars, deer, monkeys, peacocks, and birds of every type.  I have particular expertise in coordinating safaris, as I spent four years leading them at Sri Lanka's finest reservations and national parks.

* Places to visit: Minneriya National Park, Kaudulla National Park, Uda Walawe National Park, Bundala National Park, Yala National Park, Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve, Horton Plains National Park (i.e., World's End), Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage
